Distraught by his wingmen’s demise, the leader beseeches the order to return fire and avenge his fallen comrade but is again denied as the enemy had crossed the DMZ, leaving South Korea territory. Time runs out for Dae-Soo and is killed when his plane crashes into a mountain near the DMZ. Despite the please from his wingmen to eject, Dae-seo remains in the cockpit to swerve his damaged jet from crashing into a populated area. Dae-Soo ejects his co-pilot, Seok-Hyeong who is unconscious from g-forces. ![]() Using this to his advantage, the enemy takes another shot at Dae-Soo, dealing more critical damage to his plane such as shooting off his vertical stabilizer. The leader later joins the squadron but is also strictly advised to not open fire on the enemy while flying over a populated area. Matters get worse when the MiG enters the city and starts to attack civilians as well as performing a deadly maneuver, causing glass shrapnel from the damaged skyscraper to rain down on terrified civilians. Despite being fired upon, Dae-Seo and Tae-Hun are denied permission to engage per rules of engagement. The enemy uses the defector as a decoy and is given the order to engage the F-15s. However, another MiG-29, the same that encountered the F-15s earlier, is later detected crossing the border. When a defecting North Korean MiG-29 is caught via radar, Tae-Hun and his wingmen Dae-Seo are tasked to escort the defector to their base. ![]()
